We know you want to provide your pet with the best care there is. Our veterinarians are experienced and professionally educated in the latest, most advanced surgical techniques to date. We take pride in our clean, state-of-the-art surgical suite equipped with top-quality surgical instruments, tools, and monitoring equipment. We are able to perform a large variety of procedures and are able to schedule our local mobile surgeon for specialty care so your pet can be treated at their home veterinary practice that you’ve grown to trust.
You can rest assured knowing that all of our anesthetic procedures are performed sterile with constant monitoring of all vital body functions by our trained veterinary nurses and with an IV catheter for the best standard of care with vein access and fluid therapy. Your veterinarian will ensure you are educated about your pet’s specific procedure beforehand and keep you updated throughout the day of surgery. We monitor all surgical patients for at least the day with our attentive hospital nurses and your pet’s veterinarian.
For nearly all companion animals, our veterinarians strongly advise surgical sterilization. That is an ovariohysterectomy, or spay, for females, and an orchiectomy, or neuter, for males. There are many benefits to this procedure for your pet, including reduced risk of reproductive organ cancers, pyometra (emergency infection of the uterus,) prostate enlargement, unwanted breeding, and undesirable behaviors. Your veterinarian will discuss this with you during your pet’s pediatric appointments to plan the best time for this procedure, tailored specifically to your pet.
